Redefining the Way We Think about Money

About Jon

I’m the Funny Looking Guy in the Wheelchair

“You’re in a wheelchair?”Full-Body

Don’t even try to hide it. When you saw the picture on the right, I know the question popped into your head.

No, I’m not trying to make you feel guilty for thinking it. My disability is (temporarily) part of who I am, so we might as well talk about it on the about page.

I have a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. It’s a degenerative neuromuscular disease, meaning I’m supposed to get weaker and weaker until I’m finally dead.

Of course, I’m not dead. Maybe I’m too busy, too stubborn, or just plain blessed, but I’ve outlived my life expectancy by 22 years.

And I’m showing no signs of stopping.

Retiring at 25 to Become a Full-Time Philanthropist

$50 million. It’s a big number, isn’t it?

I wish I could tell you it is the number of dollars in my bank account, but I would be lying. Rather, it’s the combined value of the companies I used to help manage.

This year, I cashed out and retired. I’m not one of those people that brags about how much money I make, but let’s just say I’m doing pretty well.

Now I’ve started to put that money to work. This past June, my family pledged $500,000 to cure the disease that is threatening my life.

I’ve also dedicated my life to doing whatever else is necessary to end the disease, whether it’s raising money, speaking, or just brainstorming strategy. Instead of passively allowing SMA to kill me, I’m going to kill it, not only for me, but for the 10,000 other people in the United States alone that it affects.

I have every intention of walking within 10 years. If you’d like to see it, stick around.

A Currency for Financing Your Dreams

Which brings me to the point of this site. Money is not something that you accumulate for the sake of having it; it’s a currency for financing your dreams.

Almost everyone has something that they would love to do, but they can’t find enough money to do it. The problem isn’t their lack of drive, but a lack of resources.

I started this site to help you get those resources. If you have a dream, I want to help you finance it. Not through my own money, but through yours, gleaned from the principles and strategies I’ll show you.

Together, maybe we can have an impact. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe here, so we can stay in touch.
