I can't really give any advice on how to overcome this, but my ultimate "pants down" moment was when I found someone else with his pants down.

It was back in high school, and for a while, some kids thought it was funny to lock the bathroom stall doors from the inside, then climb over them and leave them locked.

After a week or so, I got used to that, took one quick look under the door and then climbed over. But this one day, I must not have looked well enough, because when I pulled myself over the door, my math teacher was sitting there.

He slowly looked up and said "Hello, Matt". He had his pants around his ankles, yet he never lost his composure even for a second.

It was a very awkward math class for me afterwards.

Thanks for the complements. Always nice to be appreciated :-)

For the most part, I use istockphoto.com for my pictures. I generally spend 5-15 minutes browsing for the right one, and then I buy it. Each costs about a buck.

Jon,
I love your writing - very fresh and lively and always full of great points. This is a big issue for entrepreneurs trying to establish credibility. I have a huge cringefest when I make a mistake. But I think it's also our vulnerability that makes us human and therefore more likeable.
Where do you get your photos? Do you make them yourself or do you find the images online? They're always well-done.

Jon-this is a very timely post. We just realized that our contact page was down for about a month...yikes. Also, apologized today.
