You left out one very important reason to hate money: it is unnecessary. The power plants are not run by money, they are run by people. You may say, if we didn't have money, no one would want to work.

This is a preposterous idea. We would still work, but for different reasons. We would not work hard to get money for OURselves and OUR families, we would work to make shoes so we would have shoes. We would grow food so that we may have food, and so that other people would make shoes.

We would no longer be inhibited by a profit-based world. We would no longer make products to break, or intentionally make less efficient products in order to maximize profit. Instead, we would maximize efficiency.

Poverty and starvation would fail to exist. No longer would we kill our brothers because they wave a different flag. The human race would exceed our every expectation in the fields of science and technology.

Money is not a tool of production, it is a tool of enslavement.

You are obviously someone who has been conditioned into the system, and if you dont even know how to spell "lose" I doubt you have the key to making your money worl for you....worthless ignorant trash.

It amazes me that so many people on here think that "not living beyond your means" will solve financial problems.

Take a family that makes $2000 a month in an area like Southern California, where I'm from. Around half of that is taken out for rent. My neighbors and I spend on average $995. My neighbors have given up their car (they made the choice to have the bank take it back because they couldn't afford it.) They gave up cell phones altogether, they only had one credit card that they got when they had a good job trying to build their credit for a future. They lost their job while she was eight months pregnant with their first child and as a result, they lost their health insurance just before the baby was born. All their savings went to paying doctors bills. They now have to live and support their family on $1800 dollars, which must pay $1000 for a two bedroom one bath home, $300 for health insurance which they need for their child and because she's pregnant again. (Yes, she was on birth control, don't start your crap about irresponsibility unless you plan to abstain from sex altogether if you ever hit hard times!) When they gave up their car, she lost her part time job delivering pizza, which brought in an extra $200/month. Add to that $1300 in expenses 200 for utilities, 200 for food, and they have exactly $100 dollars for gas a month. Driving a 40 year old Chevy truck. If he takes the bus he'll never see his family, and he lives in the opposite direction of any possible carpool buddies. Now, please explain how this family can fix their problems since she's 6 months pregnant, is at my house every day looking up job opportunities and using my phone to call to the temp agencies for an opening, has logged twenty one weeks worth of 8-10 hour days looking for work (I watch their son, so yes, I know this for a fact) and has gotten exactly ONE interview that led to nothing. No, they make too much for any government assistance other than WIC, which they use, and can't get on Medi-Cal because his job offers insurance. You people tell me how they "live beyond their means." They don't go out to eat, they don't even have a Netflix or anything to break up their time at home for crying out loud! Don't preach, not everyone lives beyond their means and "deserves" to be poor. A lot of families are suffering, and your callousness is just disgusting!

you sound like you come from a white collar family yourself. you dont get it, the socioeconomic standard of today is your either filthy rich or shit poor, nothings civil about the world we live in, when the small fraction of the richest country in the world owns a majority of the wealth where as the average person suffers as a result. money goes against everything thats deemed 'holy' jesus was very much against the rich. just adding him in the picture just makes you sound like a typical brainwashed yuppy from white suburbia with a golden retriever.

Money is a natural phenomena. Money depends on interactions; it's psycosocial. It's a token economy. Money is a double edged sword. Without money, the love of money would still exsist in the world. Man can never rule over man. The universe is expanding. The universe is wild and comets are moving fast. Order in Chaos is only worth anything if it's out of free-will. This world is just a learning field and character builder.

I don't see why hand-me-downs is a problem. There was a time when I used to wear new, beautiful, clean uniforms to school and I never got a complement. One day, I wore a raggedy dress and the complements were there. It's just silly. I hate it when money's worth is cared more about than people! I hate to be shouted for an object. I hate being abandoned because I spent my own money on luxury. I hate that money makes people phobic and incredulous. I hate the pains for a person to prove that they are not just interested in money. I hate not knowing how to feel about using money. I hate that even though people know Jesus was traded for money, they still feel they should love money. I hate that today I envy money.

I think that if the rich keep getting richer, then there is going to be a revolt! I already look at rich people with disgust. And not because they're rich, but because they can't even look me in the eyes. They act like I'm nonexistent. And they just LOVE to jog in the morning in they're great activewear, down their little suburb streets, and then go grab a bite to eat with the girls, and go shopping, but they never smile... and when they do smile - it's a mass-produced smile, not a real one. All the while, we (the lower class; there is no middle anymore) will work the cruddier jobs, get paid less, and struggle more, with less time to do what we want.... No No.

Society is just an aesthetic image of how we (America) lives. It's a thin thin layer put in place to make us think that we've come a long way from the invention of the wheel. But should that image ever start to fail, it would be like dominoes crashing, there's no stopping them. And all the anger towards society, law, government, MONEY, and everything else that p***es everyone off on the inside would come out! And on that day, the 95% of americans that are poorer than the top 1% will reclaim the money and authority that was stolen from them though this faulty system of society. Because this isn't a fairy tale - we aren't going to have a hero that comes sweeping in and steals from the rich, and gives to the poor... Oh no, WE have to be that hero, when the day comes!

I agree with hating money. On the other hand, it's survival instinct to collect or conquer what we need or think we need. Nowadays its money that makes the world go round, nothing else mathers anymore, its not right.
If all people where honnest, socialism would work.
The World Bank was established to rebuild Europe & keep it capitalistic as other parts of the world.
That way capitalism and greed rule the world, it seems the only way to survive. We are all slaves of the money or in other words of the World Bank.
I don't know anything for sure, I'm just looking and trying to figure it out (that doesn't make one happy).
